Maple Cookies Recipe

These Maple Cookies are a sweet, simple, scrumptious cookie for autumn. Oh yeah, and did I mention addictive.
Yes, they are pretty addictive, too. I think I’ll only eat just one of these cookies and be done with it when I start baking them, but goodness gracious, I just have no will power when it comes to cookies.

I like to keep the maple in them really delicate and not at all overpowering. Of course, you can adjust the maple in the cookies to give you the exact amount of maple in them that you are looking for, but for my family, this is perfect.

Of course, I also like to add a little bit of my maple buttercream to the tops of them and even like to smoosh a couple together with some of that buttercream frosting in the center for a yummy maple cookie sandwich.

Heaven help me. Who can resist that deliciousness?
Certainly not me!

So, here’s my Maple Cookies recipe. I think you’ll love them as much as I do.
Ingredients
- ▢ 1 cup ( 226 g ) butter , softened
- ▢ 1½ cups ( 297 g ) granulated sugar
- ▢ 2 ( 100 g ) eggs , room temperature
- ▢ 1 tablespoon ( 13 g ) maple flavoring
- ▢ 3 cups ( 360 g ) all-purpose flour
- ▢ 2 teaspoons ( 8 g ) baking powder
- ▢ 1 teaspoon ( 6 g ) baking soda
- ▢ ½ teaspoon ( 1 g ) kosher salt
Instructions
- Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add eggs one at a time and combine well. Increase speed of mixer after both eggs have been incorporated. Add in maple flavoring.
- In a large bowl, mix together dry ingredients through salt with a whisk. Using the paddle attachment of mixer, gradually incorporate dry ingredients into butter mixture until all has been combined.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon of cookie dough and place onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Place into preheated oven and back for 7-8 minutes. Do not overbake.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool on baking sheet.
